GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Several local community members and public figures agreed to have dozens of eggs cracked on their head, all for a good cause.
Eggs were donated at $5 an egg to be smashed into the heads of willing volunteers.
This is the sixth year ANB Bank has partnered with the March of Dimes to put on the event to help raise money for the March for Babies Walk, which is the largest fundraiser for the March of Dimes.
"In Colorado alone, 1 in 10 babies are born prematurely. Many of those children go on to have life long struggles in their life, if we can prevent it we can make those children have healthier safer lives," said Terri Jones of the Western Slope March of Dimes.
The March For Babies 5K walk is scheduled for April 28 at Lincoln Park.
The opening ceremonies start at 9:00 a.m. followed by a day of kid friendly activities in the park.
