MONTROSE COUNTY, Colo.- A man who was shot during a confrontation with Montrose County deputies is now out of the hospital and jail.

Authorities say Tryllen Richards, 32, was released from St. Mary's Hospital on Saturday.

Afterwards, he was taken to the Montrose County Jail and booked on charges of first-degree assault, felony menacing and speeding.

He posted bail and was later released.

Officials say on Feb. 7 Richards and two other people were involved in a traffic stop along Highway 145, near Redvale.

At some point during the stop, deputies reported shots fired and Richards was later taken to St. Mary's.

Authorities still haven't revealed what led to the shooting.
