Man Dies in Snowmobiling Accident

DELTA COUNTY, Colo. - An Illinois man died Monday after officials say he crashed while snowmobiling.

Delta County officials say the 31-year old man was snowmobiling north of Paonia near the Electric Mountain Lodge when he crashed around 11:30 Monday afternoon.

The man was airlifted to Delta Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Officials with the Delta County Sheriff's Office say they're still investigating the scene.

There is no lawsuit people. I live in Alma and these are all friends of mine from my home town that I was supposed to meet to snowmobile this week. It's horrible to think that because of history of the Lodge that people would make such assumptions. God be with the family and friends.

Billionaire owns Electric Mountain Lodge. He can afford the lawsuit. He lives in Carbondale, his name is Milt. This place has a dark history. The whole entire lodge blew up years ago. Seems like it's hoaxed or something.

Life flight was in route to grand junction hospital. During flight patient was pronounced deceased so they landed in Delta. This is according to newspaper article in Grand Junction Sentinal.

One does not get "airlifted" to Delta Hospital. You get taken by air to a level 1 or 2 trauma center, not a clinic. Hearts & prayers with the family and friends for their loss.
