CLIFTON, Colo.- A car crashed into a home early Saturday morning, and officials need help in identifying the driver.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

Colorado State Patrol officials say a suspect driving a 2003 Jeep was heading eastbound on E Road and then ran through the intersection at 33 Road, missed a stop sign and hit a utility box before crashing into a house.

Officials say the driver fled on foot, leaving 33-year-old Charles Kirby and 28-year-old Lucas Hartung in the back of the vehicle.

When crews arrived they found Hartung seriously injured and transported him to the hospital.

CSP is still investigating the crash and looking for the driver.

Officials say they believe speed was a factor in the accident.

They say no one in the house was injured.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call 242-6707.
