LARIMER COUNTY, Colo.- A man has been arrested in the area of the High Park Fire for reportedly impersonating a firefighter.

Officials say 31-year-old Michael Maher was found in Laporte with phony firefighter credentials.

Police allege Maher was seen in the fire area driving a truck with a government license plate that turned out to be stolen from the Glenwood Springs area.

Officials found stolen property in the vehicle as well as a firearm.

Maher is facing multiple charges, including theft and impersonating a fireman.

In regards to his obvious credentials: maybe more people will look behind the curtain and realize not to blindly accept the propaganda pushed by the mainstream media. Guy likely saw something he shouldn't have ie firefighter starting a fire, gov official running drugs/guns, etc....now they must discredit him.

Did you check out his Facebook page? Dozens of photos of himself in full Forest Service uniform - turnout gear, helmet, radios, etc....other photos show him on board a firefighting helicopter just last Thursday, in full uniform! Heck, even in his vacation photos, he's wearing a Forestry Service hat. If he's an "impersonator", he's mighty good at it, especially if he can gain access to multi-million dollar helicopters on the flight line.
