DENVER- An initial suicide call leads to a four hour standoff in Denver.
According to KCNC, early Thursday morning, Denver Police arrested Shaun Tobelmann after he fired shots into the streets of Denver's Capital Hill neighborhood.
Officers rushed to 12th and Grant initially for a suicide report but over the next four hours, there were shots fired back and forth between Tobelmann and officers.
During that time police shutdown surrounding streets and evacuated the building.
"The big fear was people walking down the street could be targets. Thankfully everybody listened and we didn't have much of a problem with that," explained Lt. Matt Murray, the Spokesman for Denver Police.
After police fired a gas canister into Tobelmann's apartment, he was later arrested.
