MONTROSE, Colo.- A man who was wanted in a string of armed robberies in Western Colorado received his sentence Wednesday.

Brandon Smith, 33, is set to serve 63 months in federal prison for two counts of armed robbery, followed by five years of supervised release.

Troy Ashley, 24, was sentenced earlier to serve 57 months in prison, followed by five years on supervised release. Both men have been ordered to pay joint restitution.

The charges stem from bank robberies in Rifle, Montrose and Cedaredge. The men were arrested shortly after the Cedaredge robbery last July.
