Suspect in Mesa Inn Shooting Hears Charges

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The man accused of firing a gun in a local motel appeared in a Mesa County courtroom Tuesday morning to hear the charges against him.

Zachariah McCullough, 26, is charged with illegal discharge of a firearm, which is a felony, and three misdemeanor charges that include reckless endangerment, assault and prohibited use of a weapon.

The charges stem from an incident at the Mesa Inn in September.

McCullough is accused of handling a large revolver that went off and injured a man in an adjacent room.
