GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Access to one major road has been shut down for an extended period of time.

Construction crews shut down the intersection at 25 Road and Riverside Parkway for a maximum of 18 days to enable construction of the new concrete pavement on the north and south sides of the Interstate 70 Business Loop.

During the closure, motorists will not be able to turn off or onto 25 Road and Riverside Parkway.

Officials say I-70B eastbound and westbound will remain open and detours will be marked.
