Pair Arrested, Accused of Breaking into Evacuated Home

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- Officials have arrested two people for reportedly breaking into a home in an area of the Waldo Canyon Fire evacuation zone.

According to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, 38-year-old Belinda Yates and 36-year-old Shane Garrett broke into a home on Thursday in a Colorado Springs subdivision that had been evacuated.

They were also in possession of methamphetamine.

The suspects face various charges including suspicion of second-degree burglary, possession of a controlled substance and theft.

CBI agents continue to investigate the case, and are coordinating with area law enforcement to determine if other homes may have been targeted by the suspects.
