GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- A candlelight vigil was held Saturday evening in downtown Grand Junction after a mass shooting at a Conn. elementary school on Friday.

A handful of people showed up around 5 p.m. at City Hall on Fifth Street and Rood Avenue.

Residents stood in the rain and discussed the incident to remember those suffering more than 2,000 miles away.

Organizers say they hope to continue holding candlelight vigils. NewsChannel 5 will publish updates as they become available.
