FRUITA, Colo. A Fruita business is standing out amongst competitors in the Rocky Mountain region. Frank Henry Equipment, LLC recently took home an Oil & Gas Award, chosen as Industry Supplier of the Year. The company was also honored by Governor Hickenlooper.
Ignited back in 2007, Frank Henry Equipment started out with just three employees.
"Doing a standard leak-check on our hydraulic system," said employee Charles Ramsey.
Fast-forward to 2012, the Fruita company now has 60 workers.
President of Frank Henry Equipment, Nick Snoke, said, "You can be successful in any industry, whether in upturn or downturn, as long as you've got a great team assembled."
"God-willing we're just fortunate to keep growing," Ramsey said.
Like the equipment they build, the crew is a well-oiled machine.
Brad Wilkins, fabrication manager, said, "That's pretty much my job, to make sure they're working efficiently and that we're getting multiple projects in at once."
"If one person don't do what they need to do to get the project done, then the project don't get done," said Ramsey.
Each job equally important.
In testing bays, workers simulate well pressure. The bays are equip to handle a blast should the equipment fail.
Floor supervisor, Roger White, said, "Once they get our equipment then we're very confident that it's going to hold and it will perform the way that it needs to."
While the company has grown, their competitors are even bigger.
"It was for multiple companies in the Rockies, many of them were publicly-traded. There was about 60 of them and when they narrowed it down to three, we were the winner," Snoke said.
Spark over size has gotten the company where it is today.
"Put all their heart into it. The guys are willing to work the evenings and the weekends and tirelessly. Really just to promote the company and make sure we're meeting all of our customers needs," said Snoke.
