Local Entrepreneurs Need Votes to Stock Walmart Shelves
KREX News Room
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - A local business is looking for the Grand Valley's help in bringing its product to the mainstream retail market.
Craig Helber created the Hy-dit system with his partner, Sherryl Kempers, 12 years ago when they realized there was no toilet plunger storage system on the market.
"When guests come over and they're thinking, 'Excuse me, do you have a plunger?' it would be right there. We're hoping eventually everyone will have them in their homes to where it becomes a common item," explained Kempers.
She says the system allows for discretion, is easy to install and is customizable.
The entrepreneurs are already selling online at sites like amazon.com and homedepot.com. Now, the business is part of Walmart's Get on the Shelf contest in need of enough votes to bring the Hy-dit system to Walmart shelves.
