PALISADE, Colo.- The Blue Pig Galley is showcasing local artists in a plein air event until Aug. 15.

The gallery will hold around 20 different paintings and pastel drawings that are available for purchase.

Artists say this is a very special time for local artists who aren't with the gallery permanently, but get a chance to showcase their work and sell their pieces. "It's just an amazing opportunity to get our work out there for not only people to purchase it, but to let us get some feedback on it," said Linda Hiatt-Neely, an artist.

A few pieces have already been sold.

The Blue Pig Gallery has around 30 artists on display at a time.
