GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- On Tuesday night the Grand Junction community had the opportunity to offer opinions and advice on what the new Lincoln Park playground should look like.

Officials say because of a $250,000 Great Outdoors grant, the city is able to replace the current 15-year-old playground and replace it with a new, all-accessible one.

"You will see ramp systems, you'll see a lot of sensory toys, you'll see opportunities for kids of all ages and all abilities at the Lincoln Park playground, no matter which design we happen to go with," said Traci Wieland, Grand Junction recreation superintendent.

Officials are still gathering feedback and will start construction during the winter.

The new playground is set to be completed in late spring of 2013.

If you are interested in giving feedback or seeing the playground options call Traci Wieland at 970-254-3846.
