Light Gives Heat Hosts Huge Warehouse Sale
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The nonprofit organization Light Gives Heat has a big sale underway this weekend, all in preparation for their summer line. The international organization based in Grand Junction provides incomes to families in Uganda. While roughly 90 percent of their sales come from ones online, they've opened their warehouse this weekend to locals. Products like necklaces and purses are on sale by 50 percent or more. Dave Hansow, creative director of Light Gives Heat, said, "Light Gives Heat is a nonprofit and we employ a little over 120 artisans in Uganda, Africa. When somebody buys a product from us literally 100 percent of it goes right back into allowing us to create that weekly consistent income." The new summer line features bright colors. For 15 weeks a new item will be released for sale each week. The warehouse will be open on Sunday until 4 p.m. Locals can also shop online and pick up their items in person throughout the week.
