Lawmakers Give Final Reading of Sex Education Bill

by KREX News Room
by Jordan Sherman

DENVER- Colorado House Representatives gave their third and final reading of House Bill 1081, which would restructure sexual education in Colorado classrooms.

If passed, parents would be required to opt out instead of the current requirement that they approve participation for their children.

The bill would also create a grant program to help schools get federal money, should they chose to expand instruction on the topic.
