GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- We’re just one day away from Christmas and folks are scrambling to purchase those last minute gifts.

Whether it's tradition or just procrastination, the mall was buzzing on Monday with shoppers.

Some mega stores even opened their doors for 24 hours the last two days.

NewsChannel 5 spoke with shoppers who say they didn't mind braving the crowds or snow today, and that they just needed to get their shopping done.

“It’s actually the best time,” said Daniel Mircea, last minute shopper. “It’s snowing outside, you get the feel of Christmas and I guess I’m just a last minute guy.”

“I was too tired to go out and finish last night,” said Ashley Jons, last minute shopper. “So I have to come out and finish tonight.”

The mall will be open until 5 p.m. on Monday.
