Kannah Creek’s Flagship Beer Wins National Recognition

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- A local brewing company won big at a national brewer’s competition.

The Kannah Creek Brewing Company was awarded the silver medal for its Lands End Amber at this year's Great American Beer Festival in Denver.

The competition featured over 660 breweries with more than 4,000 beers.

The facility plans on expanding operations to the Riverside Parkway in May, where the Lands End Amber will be highlighted.

“Our customers like it so much that it's our best selling beer,” said Jim Jeffryes, brewer at Kannah Creek. “To win a medal for it, it's just really great, and for our new facility we plan on putting it in bottles and distrusting more widely.”

The Lands End Amber is Kannah Creek's flagship beer, and it’s the second time it has won an award.

It also won the gold at the 2010 World Beer Cup Competition.
