Justin's Natural Peanut Butter Recall

BOULDER, Colo. - Justin's, the popular natural nut butter brand, is voluntarily recalling certain lots of its product due to potential salmonella contamination.

The company is recalling some of it's Classic Peanut Butter 16-ounce jars and Honey Peanut Butter 1.15-ounce and half-ounce single-serve squeeze packs.

The company says its voluntary recall was prompted by Sunland Inc.'s recall of nut butter products.

Justin's says that because Sunland peanuts were used to make some of their products. The recall affects Justin's 16-ounce Classic Peanut Butter jars with a "best by'' date of Aug. 7, 2013; the 1.15-ounce Honey Peanut Butter squeeze packs with a best by date of July 24 or July 25, 2013; and the half-ounce squeeze packs with best by dates of July 14, Aug. 10, Aug. 13, Aug. 14 or Aug. 15, 2013.
