Judge Halts Burial Plans for Jensen Brothers

by KREX News Room
by Meaghan Wallace

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - A Mesa Sounty judge has halted the burial plans of Tyler and William Jensen, the young brothers left in a car on the Grand Mesa.

The boys' grandmother, Diane Mathena, wants Tyler and William Jensen buried next to their father in Palisade, while the mother wants them cremated.

Court documents reveal a Grand Junction funeral home had agreed to cremate the remains of the boys at no cost.

The court issued the preliminary injunction to prevent cremation of the boys' remains--- until the investigation of the boys' deaths can be completed.

So far, no charges have been filed in the deaths and it has not been ruled a criminal investigation.

Their mother, Heather Jensen, has not responded to requests for comment.

I truly hope the grandparents get custody rights of the boys i know that they will seek justice for William and Tyler and put this monster behind bars. She should not be out on the streets this is negligence homicide if you ask me. who leaves there children in a car in the mountains? Even if she didnt do something to them she should be responsible for the fact had she been there with them the whole time when they started getting sick she could have saved there lifes. am i wrong instead she waited 90 min that 90 min could have saved there lifes. and for that i do believe there should be no trial she should just be sentenced to death just like she did to the 2 wonderful little boys who never deserved this to happen. hope a judge lets the grandparents have all rights.

This mother should not even be called a mother she should be referred to as nothing more then a egg donor. My belief is she wanted them cremated to stop the investigation from finding the true cause of death. This is a tragic event that has taken place with in this community and now we as a community need to know the truth that this woman is trying to hide. These innocent children deserve justice and justice is what we will get. One way or another this woman should have been behind bars long ago for for many incidents of neglect. Many people have seen this woman let her kids run down the street in palisade unattended and cared for. She has left them in her apartment by them selves at times for her to go and do as she pleases. Not only is this a tragic incident the father had just passed not to long ago and now the boys. sad to say she is nothing more then a money hungry horrible parent she just wants the money. All i wanna see is justice for these innocent boys who deserve better.

If this goes national how will she look in the eyes of world? Mountain air affecting the ability to decide right from wrong? From across the map , in Massachusetts I can there is serious concern for mothers risk of flight

I agree, why isnt this mother behind bars yet? At least for neglect.

Investigators need to file charges ASAP before this gets out of control further than it already has.
