Testimony Concludes In Janusz Trial

GRAND JUNCTION,Colo. - Final testimonies were made Thursday in the sexual assault trial of a former Grand Junction police officer and firefighter.

43-year-old Eric Janusz is accused of four counts of sexual assault on a child in a position of trust, and four counts of sexual assault on a child in a position of trust with a pattern of abuse.

Janusz completed his testimony Thursday at the Mesa County Justice Center as he answered questions from the prosecution about his past relationship.

On Wednesday, Janusz confirmed he and the victim had a sexual relationship in 2004, then again in 2011.

Closing arguments will be made on Friday morning before the case is handed to the jury.
