Janusz Trial Continues with Victim Testimony

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-The sexual assault trial of a former Grand Junction police officer and firefighter continued today with a testimony from an alleged victim.

42-year-old Eric Janusz is accused of four counts of sexual assault on a child in a position of trust and four counts of sexual assault of a child in a position of trust with a pattern of abuse.

The alleged victim took the stand, describing several incidents where Janusz performed sexual acts with her in 2000.

The victim explained one such event took place on Mesa State College property while Janusz was on duty.

She also explained that Janusz eventually put an end to their relationship in October or November of 2000.

The trial is scheduled to last until March 22nd.
