January is National Blood Donor Month

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo- January is National Blood Donor Month.

Generally the winter weather stops people from donating blood which increases the possibility of a low blood supply.

St. Mary's Blood Center encourages all those who are eligible to donate blood, to help patients in need at a blood drive near you.

Blood and platelet donations are used for all kinds of patients and all kinds of procedures.

No appointment is necessary at the Blood Center located at 750 Wellington Avenue, in the advanced Medicine Pavilion.
