Jackknifed Semi Shuts Down Both Sides of I-70

EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. - A jackknifed semi shut down both sides of the I-70 for multiple hours.

The incident happened at about 5:15 a.m. between mile markers 171 and 168. According to Colorado State Patrol, the driver a semi truck headed westbound lost control and jackknifed.

Fuel was leaking from the vehicle and crews had to shut down all sides of the interstate for clean up and rig removal.

No injuries were reported.

Both sides of I-70 were reopened at about 9:15 a.m.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected in this incident .
