GOLDEN, Colo. - The injured deer that had a lot of people concerned after it got stuck on an icy lake Thursday was finally rescued on Friday by Parks and Wildlife officials.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials were alerted by the potentially dangerous situation, and although they say this happens frequently in nature, they stood by in case the deer fell through the ice.

Todd Taylor with Lake Regional Parks was able to carefully walk out onto the ice and essentially lasso the injured deer and pulled it safely to shore.
