DENVER, Colo. (AP) A federal grand jury in Durango, Colo., has indicted an Arizona man on charges of wire fraud and income tax evasion.

Brian K. Shoults, of Mesa, Ariz., is free on a $50,000 unsecured bond. His attorney didn't immediately return an email seeking comment late Tuesday.

An indictment alleges Shoults tried to embezzle more than $250,000 from Office Outpost in Cortez, Colo., when he was its bookkeeper. The indictment alleges he wired money from Office Outpost accounts into his own and failed to pay income taxes on that money.

Shoults had sole responsibility for reconciling the shop's bank accounts with its internal records.

Federal prosecutors say Shoults is charged with 123 counts of wire fraud and four counts of income tax evasion.
