GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo.- An Indiana man is behind bars after authorities say he traveled to the Western Slope with the intent of sexually exploiting two children.

Officials say Steve Raines, 35, is accused of driving to Garfield County from Fort Wayne, Ind. to meet with two children ages 12 and 16.

According to reports, Raines began chatting with a Homeland Security agent who was using an undercover persona. In the chats, Raines reportedly indicated he wanted to have sex with both of her minor children.

After a number of chats, officials say Raines drove to the Western Slope with the purpose of engaging in those sexual relationships.

Once Raines arrived in Garfield County, where he was scheduled to meet with the family, he was identified and then arrested.

Raines is expected to appear in court in Grand Junction on July 10.
