Hiker Falls to Death Near Aspen

PITKIN COUNTY, Colo.- The man who died while hiking Maroon Bells near Aspen on Saturday has been identified as 34-year-old Derek Kelley of Colorado Springs.
.
The Pitkin County Coroner's Office says a boulder came loose while Kelley hiked North Maroon Peak, causing him to fall about 800 feet.

The cause of death was traumatic brain injury.
