Icy Road Conditions Create Treacherous Travel

by KREX News Room

GRAND JUNCTION- Mother Nature is making an impact on western Colorado – primarily in the form of icy road conditions.

The situation led to several traffic accidents throughout the Grand Valley on Monday morning.

Just after 7 o'clock, a two-vehicle crash happened at Redlands Parkway and South Rim Drive. At least one vehicle suffered damage in the accident, but no significant injuries were reported.

A separate rollover crash happened along 15 ½ Road, but authorities say nobody suffered any injuries.

Officials say Mesa County was on "accident alert" on Monday morning, but that designation has since been lifted.
