Hundreds Attend Rifle's 33rd Annual Chili Cook-Off

RIFLE, Colo.- Chili dishes were put to the test Thursday evening at the 33rd annual Rifle Area Chamber of Commerce Chili Cook-Off.

Chili lovers checked out the tasty dishes and voted for their favorite red chili, green chili, salsa and jerky in the "People's Choice" division.

The annual event is always a crowd pleaser. Officials say nearly 400 people attended.

"It brings the hunters in, it brings the community in, it brings the businesses in. Everybody has just a great time," said Annick Pruett from Grand River Hospital District.

Here's a list of the first place winners:

Red Chili:
First Place: Centennial Suites

Green Chili:
First Place: Rib City Grill

Salsa:
First Place: Mountain Air Mechanical

Jerky:
First Place: Wine Nutz Bar and Grill
