GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Homeward Bound held its second annual Hot Rods for Homeless car show fundraiser Saturday morning.

Several cars were put on display in the old Grand Valley Power parking lot.

Admission was free and it cost $10 to enter a car.

Mollie Woodard, operations coordinator for Homeward Bound, said they made around $2,500 last year and are looking to double that this year. "We are hoping to raise $5,000 this year. When we're able to provide food, meals and clean linens for one person for $11.04, you can sure tell that that $5,000 would provide a lot of shelter for folks that are in need."

Officials say this is a new way for people to find out more about Homeward Bound and help participate in volunteer work. Woodard said there were several clubs that participated.
