Homicide Victim Identified After 33 Years

PITKIN COUNTY, Colo.- Pitkin County sheriff's officials and the FBI have identified the body of a man murdered in a 1979 cold case.

Fingerprint analysts helped to identify the body as Donald Allison.

Allison was one month short of his 50th birthday when his body was discovered in 1979 in Lenado, Colo., which is an unincorporated part of Pitkin County.

Authorities are not releasing specific details on the case, but say they are using forensic technology to reexamine evidence left behind at the scene.
