Holmes' Lawyers: Don't Delay Reporter's Hearing

DENVER (AP)- Attorneys for Colorado theater shooting defendant James Holmes are objecting to a request by Fox News reporter Jana Winter to delay a September hearing on a story she wrote about Holmes.
Winter wants to postpone the hearing until after a court in her home state of New York rules on her request to reject a Colorado subpoena.
Holmes' lawyers objected in a filing Thursday.
Holmes is accused of killing 12 people in July 2012.
Citing unidentified law enforcement officials, Winter reported Holmes sent a psychiatrist violent drawings.
Holmes' lawyers say Winter's sources violated a gag order, and that officers who denied being the source may have lied, undermining their credibility as witnesses.
The judge hasn't said whether he'll order Winter to identify her sources. She could face jail if she disobeyed.
