CENTENNIAL, Colo.- The attorney for James Holmes has asked a judge to postpone a hearing, originally scheduled for next week, involving a reporter who allegedly leaked information about the case.
FOX news reporter Jana Winter was subpoenaed after she wrote a story about the July 20 massacre with details about a notebook Holmes sent to his psychiatrist.
The defense says revealing those details violated a gag order.
Holmes' lawyers are asking the judge to reschedule the hearing until April so they have more time to prepare.
Holmes is charged with killing 12 people and injuring 70 in the July shooting at an Aurora movie theater.
