Holiday DUI Crackdown Begins

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. It's the season for holiday parties which also means the "heat is on."

Local law enforcement is teaming up with the Colorado State Patrol to be on high alert for drunk drivers this holiday season, this crackdown will continue through New Year's Day.

This time last year, there was more than 45 fatalities on Colorado roads - 15 of those were alcohol related.

Officials urge you to always have a designated driver. In fact, there's an online tool you can use to make sure that you're staying safe while enjoying your holiday festivities.
