PALISADE, Colo.- On Monday night the Palisade Planning Commission was able to get its first look at how the Highway 6 corridor may be improved.

After several focus groups and open houses were throughout the spring, the planning commission was presented with a summary of the feedback received; it was compiled by the city of Grand Junction.

Grand Junction is partnering with Palisade on this project.

"They were able to evaluate it, to take into consideration the wants, the desires and the concerns of our planning commission, as well as the citizens at large, and try to come up with a plan such that we can move forward to accomplish this improvement," said Richard Mathews, chairman of the Palisade Planning Commission.

The planning commission will look through the report before passing it along to the Board of Trustees.

An open house is planned for November so the public can check out the findings.
