GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo.- Fire season in Colorado is hanging on.

The blaze, estimated at 991 acres, is located north of Rifle and east of Highway 13.

It's burning in Grand Hogback, an area with rugged, steep terrain.

Dozens of firefighters are battling the flames, with help from the BLM and Rifle Fire Protection District.
