More Evacuations Ordered for High Park Fire

LARIMER COUNTY, Colo.- More evacuations are ordered as the High Park Fire rages on.

The blaze, which is burning about 15 miles west of Fort Collins, has burned through more than 55,000 acres and is currently 45 percent contained.

It is the most destructive fire in Colorado history.

On Sunday, Larimer County officials ordered the evacuation of more than 300 homes in the Soldier Canyon and Mill Canyon areas.

Earlier in the day, nearly 100 notices were sent to the Hewlett Gulch Subdivision in the Poudre Canyon.

More than 1,600 personnel are currently working the fire.
