High Park Fire Danger Rises

LARIMER COUNTY, Colo.- At last report, the High Park Fire has burned 200 acres and continues to grow rapidly due to high winds in the area.

Officials say evacuations were underway for about 46 homes; officials went door to door with notifications as well.

No injuries have been reported at this time; there are structures in the area, but so far there are no confirmed reports of damage.

The flames are burning on private and Forest Service land.

Several air operations are underway with a tanker, two helicopters and a command plane.
