LARIMER COUNTY, Colo.- Despite favorable weather conditions for firefighters, the High Park Fire continues to grow.

As of Thursday, it's burned more than 68,000 acres and is currently 55 percent contained.

The blaze is the most destructive one in Colorado history.

Crews will continue to patrol and mop up the east, north and south flanks, where containment lines have been completed.

At least 189 homes have been destroyed and hundreds of people have been forced to evacuate.

Close to 2,000 personnel are fighting the flames.

Fire crews have also received some additional help from a group of volunteer firefighters from Delaware.
