Hickenlooper Talks Guns, Tuition During "State of the State" Address

DENVER Gov. Hickenlooper gave his State of the State address Thursday morning and touched on a number of issues.

Hickenlooper talked gun control, tuition problems and civil unions in his annual address.

The Governor renewed a call for the passage of civil unions and asked law makers to pass legislation lowering tuition for illegal immigrants, who've graduated from Colorado schools.

Hickenlooper also called for more thorough background checks for would be gun owners as well as an expansion of care for the mentally ill.
