Hickenlooper Signs Executive Order for Wetmore Fire

DENVER- Governor John Hickenlooper signed a disaster declaration Wednesday for the wildfire burning in Custer County.

The Executive Order makes resources available to pay for fire suppression, response and recovery efforts related to the Wetmore Fire.

Currently, the fire has already destroyed at least 14 houses.

About 380 residents have been told to leave their homes.

The Wetmore Fire is 15 percent contained.
