Hickenlooper Asks for Moment of Silence on Friday

DENVER (AP)- Gov. John Hickenlooper is asking Coloradans to observe a moment of silence on Friday for the 26 people killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Hickenlooper and governors across the country are calling for the moment of silence Friday at 9:30 a.m. in local time zones, the hour of the shooting last Friday.

Hickenlooper also urged government buildings and places of worship to ring bells 26 times in honor of those who died at the school.
