LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) - Gov. John Hickenlooper is among several witnesses scheduled to testify at a U.S. Senate committee hearing on "opportunities and challenges for natural gas.''

The Energy and Natural Resources committee hearing is scheduled Tuesday in Washington. Fellow Democrat and Sen. Mark Udall of Colorado is one of the committee's members. Hickenlooper's spokesman, Eric Brown, told the Times-Call on Friday that Hickenlooper was still working on his remarks.

Other members of the witness panel include the presidents of the American Petroleum Institute and the Natural Resources Defense Council.

Why, oh why would they ask for Chickenscoopers opinion on anything energy related? There is opportunity in Nat gas, but not in Colorado anymore. Additionally Sen Udall's yes vote on the Obummercare bill passed by cowardly democrats under cover of darkness and holiday on Christmas Eve, 2009 negates and tarnishes the determination of any committee that he is on.
