Gov. Hickenlooper, Lawmakers Propose State Worker Pay Raise

DENVER- It's been four years since the last time State of Colorado employees have gotten a raise, after many were forced to take pay cuts during the economic recession.

However, Governor Hickenlooper and State lawmakers are proposing a pay raise for state employees.

Under Hickenlooper's plan, state employees would receive a 1.5% pay raise with the potential for similar merit raise.

The Denver Post reports, other lawmakers have proposed a 2% pay raise.

How about the government stop spending money on worthless entitlements, so taxes can Be lowered and business can give the private sector pay raises.

It is about time that the people that serve the Sate of Colorado so well get something. All of the employees that are just barely get by and still go out all hours of the day and night to plow roads and make sure we are safe deserve our thanks as well.
