UPDATE: Heather Jensen's Bond Request Denied
MESA COUNTY, Colo. - Heather Jensen, the woman accused of criminally negligent homicide and child abuse after the deaths of her two young sons in November of 2012, was back in court Thursday. On Wednesday a lawyer for Jensen requested that her current $150,000 bond be reduced and on Thursday Judge Valerie Robison denied the bond modification. Based on Jensen's financial situation, her lawyer asked Judge Robison to drop it to either a low cash bond of $100-$500 or a cash/surety bond of $1,000-$5,000. On Thursday Judge Robison laid out a timeline of events in the case of Tyler and William's deaths, beginning with the first 911 call Jensen made in November. She focused in on the fact that Jensen previously violated probation in another case when she went to Florida. Jensen is due back in court May 1 for a preliminary hearing.
