DENVER- Colorado State Patrol's 100 Days of Heat summer DUI crackdown finished up with a big push.

CSP reported Saturday that during their last leg of the national campaign, Aug. 17 through Sept. 3, law enforcement officials made an average of 80 DUI arrests per day, totaling 1,440.

Over 88 law enforcement agencies, as well as the CSP, participated in the summer-long enforcement, which resulted in 2,793 DUI arrests total.

That number is up 6 percent over last summer’s 2,634 DUI arrests.
