NUCLA, Colo.- Public hearings are scheduled this fall on a license application for a company hoping to build a uranium mill on Pinon Ridge in Western Colorado.

State health officials say the hearing on Energy Fuels Corporation's application for a radioactive material license are scheduled for Oct. 15 and Nov. 7 in Nucla.

Energy Fuels previously had an approved license that was invalidated after a judge said the state should have held a formal administrative hearing first.

People who feel like they may be affected by the building of the mill have until Sept. 25 to seek party status to attend the hearing.

Final action on the license application isn't expected until the spring.
