GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - A head on collision Friday evening sent two people to the hospital.

Officials with the Colorado State Patrol say around 6:00 p.m. a 1993 Pontiac sedan hit a 2005 Subaru head on at Patterson Road near Lodgepole Street.

The 48-year old male who was driving the Sedan was transported to St. Mary's Hospital with moderate injuries.

The 46-year old male driver of the Subaru was also transported with minor injuries. CSP officials say there was a passenger in that car but their condition is unknown.

Authorities are still investigating the crash, but say they do not suspect drugs of alcohol to have been a factor.

Patterson is 5 lanes wide ( counting the turn lane) and these two still hit headon?
